Leslie graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s of science in Kinesiology. She also has an A.A. from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, as well as an A.S. from Columbus State University in Georgia. Leslie is a California certified massage practitioner.
Her fitness emphases are special populations, older adults, and post-rehabilitation.
Leslie’s health and wellness experience includes being trained and assigned as her unit’s combat lifesaver while serving in the Army; she also led her company in its physical fitness training. She is a PADI-certified Rescue Diver, which she achieved after obtaining Advanced Scuba Diver certification. Employment as a physical therapy aide was instrumental in giving Leslie her focus for her training.
She keeps up-to-date and current by attending various conferences and seminars on a yearly basis, as well as maintaining memberships in several industry organizations. She is in the process of becoming a C.H.E.K.-certified Exercise Coach practitioner.
Leslie settled on the Monterey Peninsula because of the many outdoor opportunities, especially hiking, camping, scuba, kayaking, as well as biking, fitness walking, and beachcombing. She has a passion for animals and currently has 2 dogs and a cat. Her greatest challenge is living an environmentally-responsible lifestyle.
